Reflection by Dale Lennon
Seasons.
I have very much been reminded this week that life is full of different seasons.
Ecclesiastics 3:1 says:
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
For me this week has been a season of finishing. It has felt quite surreal having been a part of this community for almost four years for it to be coming to an end. It feels strange to be moving on.
When I say moving on I know a piece of my heart will always be with Robina Anglican Church and I will continue to cheer from a short distance away for the continued growth of faith, hope and love here (1 Cor 13:13). I believe the best is yet to come for this community!
I can truly say that in my time with you as a church I have grown, been encouraged and felt valued as a member of the ministry team and the greater church community.
There is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
As I have reflected this week I am grateful for a number of things, but I’ll name just a few here:
I am grateful that as I leave there are some fantastic young leaders who are stepping up to serve.
I am grateful that in some small way I have been able to contribute to the lives of others.
I am grateful that God is at work.
I am grateful that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose (Rom 8:28).
I am grateful to have learnt from the experience of others.
I am grateful to have grown.
I am grateful for you church, and I am grateful that there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
Much Love
Dale
